I saw in the paper that some actress from Emmerdale has named her new baby Buster. That name just makes me think of someone big and fat. Does anyone else think it's an awful name to give a baby?

rofl like buster bloodvessel

The ugliest name I have heard for a very long time. Buster to me is a battle-scarred pugilist with swallow tattoos on his hands. How someone can bestow such a name on a sweet young child is utterly beyond me. Crass and vulgar.

PS: I don't like it.

Glad I'm not the only one. I wish some soap star or girl group member would start a fashion in giving babies ordinary names for a change instead of all these Bluebells, Tallulahs, Romeos etc.

sadly I thought of a dog too.... think it's ok as an occasional nickname but not a given name - no

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/04/2010 17:36

I know of a Buster.
Still think it's a terrible name.

Buster had a beer-belly, broken veins all over his face and probably drags his knuckles along the ground. Why would you bestow it on a child?
