Due in two weeks and having doubts about top choice for a boy - is Dougal daft?

Any middle name ideas to go with Georgia would be appreciated too!

Thanks

I'm not personally keen on Dougal, but it's not daft

Georgia Marie?

wukter · 05/04/2010 15:14

I can't help but think of Fr Dougal. That might be just be though.

mrsmandm · 05/04/2010 15:15

I hadn't thought of that - only one I thought of was Magic Roundabout!

I like both! Goergia was my fave name but vetoed by DH!
I would have had Elizabeth as a middle name:

Georgia Elizabeth - sounds lovely, IMO!

Goood luck!

Fimbow · 05/04/2010 15:33

Georgia Louise

Georgia Elouise

Georgia Bethany

Georgia May

Georgia Elaine

I like Douglas and Duncan not sure about Dougal

mistressploppy · 05/04/2010 15:38

My 2m old nephew is Douglas and I love Dougal too - it's a brilliant name. Do it!

Georgia Diane
Georgia Louise
Georgia Joanne
Georgia Marie

Re the above - I think Georgia needs a two-syllable middle name with the stress on the second syll. I am a bit weird...

Magaly · 05/04/2010 16:30

NO it's not! I like it. My dc1 was a girl but if she'd been a boy she'd have been Douglas. doogie for short. I can't really believe that now. I didn't consider it for dc2 though, but I quite like Dougal and Douglas. Dougal sounds a bit more easy-going too. I prefer that version.

if you like it do it

Egwene · 05/04/2010 20:09

Georgia Elizabeth

Duncan instead perhaps?

I did think Fr Dougal, followed by Dougal from the magic roundabout, on first seeing the thread title!

theagedparent · 05/04/2010 21:21

Dougal is a great name, not so keen on Georgia though

cjn27b · 05/04/2010 21:23

I love Dougal, but DP overuled on account of Father Ted and the Magic Roundabout (but will our children remember any of that?! I'm not convinced it matters). Go for it.
