I'm not actually pg or trying to name a baby so this thread is not important or urgent, I'm just curious.

What names can Annie be a nn for (except for Annabelle and Anastasia?) And are there any names where Anne/Annie is in the middle or at the end (except for Bethany)?

My cousin is called Catherine, but lots of people call her Annie. Think that's to do with our maiden name though. Mind you, there are 4 of us who used to be Miss Maiden-Name, and she's the only one who ever got called Annie.

I am called Anne, and I hate it! its my middle name, and my first name is much nicer. First name is very common in my family, so Ive always been called Anne, and as im 34 its a bit late to change it. I would give anything to have a name with a bit more oomph! Irellevant to your discussion I know, but I just had to let it out. xx

Annette?

I love Anais but not sure I could use it due being neither French nor glamorous.
