They both sound good Pushed to choose, I would say Jonathan, simply because its DPs name

How is the second name pronounced?

MrsCadwallader · 01/04/2010 07:15

I really like both, but would go with Jonathan for the simple reason that there are HUNDREDS of Benjamins / Bens where we are, but I've only ever met one baby John / Jonathan.

I like and were we ever to have DS4 I'd seriously consider it!

littlemisslozza · 01/04/2010 07:35

Jonathan. Love it and not even in the top hundred names, whereas Benjamin is very popular.

doodlemama · 01/04/2010 07:38

Benjamin for me. Just a lovely warm name. And nice when shortened.

5DollarShake · 01/04/2010 08:43

These were both on out list, had this baby been a boy.

Either for me. I like the fact that Jonathan is shortened to Jon without an 'h' - also Jonny without an 'h'. Not sure why I like that - probably just because to my mind John is such a bog standard name - that Jon makes it a tiny bit different.

pitterpatterfeet · 01/04/2010 08:43

Jonathan classier IMVHO and not as popular atm

tummytickler · 01/04/2010 10:51

Jonathan - with Jonny or Jonty as a nn!

AllieW · 01/04/2010 11:17

Jonathan. By a mile.

flybynight · 01/04/2010 11:25

Jonathan again.

BallpointPen · 01/04/2010 11:28

I think they both the same sort of name, neither are going to make him stand out as having 'different' or 'original' parents, both are safe, nice, sensible.

SillyTillyBilly · 01/04/2010 19:10

Both lovely names. Benjamin is one of my all time favourites but I like Jonathan too. The only problem with Jonathan is the variety of spellings Jonathan, Jonathon, Johnathan etc whereas I prefer names with only one spelling to avoid confusion.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/04/2010 19:12

Bens by the Bucket here

MrsStig · 01/04/2010 19:13

Henry.

Lora69 · 01/04/2010 19:29

LMAO at MrsStig!!!

That wasnt an option! ;) hahaha,
okay, it is Jonathan between these two, and between Henry and Zachary it is Henry!

Now, one more post to decide... xx
