What do you think of Raffaelle as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Depends on your surname - does it go? I like it but it may cause a ribbing at school.

mackandtilly · 28/03/2010 22:27

well that is a bit of a problem... its Tincombe. ribbing is inevitable

Raffaele is a boys name though... It translates as Ralph in Italian. As a rule I wouldn't go for it for a girl

Rumpel · 28/03/2010 22:49

Hmm I would say no with your surname -sorry!

I really don't think that the Mumsnet baby name finder should be used for anything other than a giggle. It seems to be full of made up/misspelled names.

Raphael is a good boys name, and if you are French you could use Raphaelle (with two little dots like Chloe over the first e) but I think that Raffaelle would be a difficult name, people will assume that it is misspelled/never spell it right, and I would suspect that pronunciation might be an issue too.
