what do you think are both names together a bit much/strong? surname cook so feel i need a bit of a longish middle name..orignally were going with iris rose? but people said too flowery n not sure if the middle name is long enough

Sounds fine. Very nice names.

Prinpo · 22/03/2010 09:22

Lovely - they all sound great together.

persephoneplum · 22/03/2010 11:49

Nice combo but capital letters are always nice to see ;) I'm glad you're not going with Rose in the middle - it's so boring.

dizzydixies · 22/03/2010 11:52

fine together

Floopy21 · 23/03/2010 10:03

Perfect. I would call a future DD that if DH ever agreed to ANY of my names!

thecoffeelady · 23/03/2010 16:24

Love it, that was on my short list of first names for dd but dp said no way

pearlym · 23/03/2010 16:27

Really like it, like short first names and as we are now a few years beyond the file about Iris Murdoch, will not be too popular.

I went for Ava for my first and was reall ystumped for second, Love Elizabeth as middle name, much better than Rose- which is nice but Eliz better with Iris
Lucky lucky yuo having a girl to name

Jamieandhismagictorch · 23/03/2010 18:16

Lovely

Skegness · 23/03/2010 18:16

nice

AllieW · 24/03/2010 18:47

Love Iris! I would have thought about it, but since DD's name begins with I and I don't like having siblings with the same initial, I haven't put it on our shortlist.

Iris Elizabeth is a pretty combination, too. Iris Eliza might also work.

Mumsnut · 24/03/2010 18:52

My mother's names!

PartialToACupOfMilo · 25/03/2010 23:32

Beautiful - Iris was the top of my list, but when baby arrived she just didn't seem like one. So we chose a different first name and kept the Elizabeth as the middle name

Jenbot · 26/03/2010 00:15

Yes, sounds really nice!

KristinaM · 26/03/2010 00:18

lovely
