Ida
Verity
Clara
Lorna
Juliet

would be my shorter shortlist iyswim.

I really regret not going with Clara for dd, so that's my favourite but I do really like the others.

Posy - Not sure
Stella - would always remind me of beer
Poppy - cute
Charlotte - love this name. Possibility for our hypothetical DD2
Ida - Ok
Abigail - not too keen, although I like Abby.
Cora - Pretty
Verity - ugh, no.
Agnes - no
Lucinda - no
Tilly - like
Madison - don't mind and I know it is commonly used for girls but in my babies name book it was down as a boys name meaning 'son of Maude,' which put me off it a little.
Ava - pretty but very popular, however I always say that names are popular for a reason.
Clara - nice
Helen - no
Olivia - no
Lucy - love Lucy. Classic and pretty name!
Lorna - ok
Ella - really love Ella. It was my Grandma's name and I think it's so pretty!
Dulcie - ok
Juliet - nice
Lauren - ok but reminds me of Catherine Tate.
Ruby - Lovely!

Gosh, you weren't kidding about it not being overly short, were you!!

Anyhow, my tuppence worth is as follows:

Posy: Don't like. It makes me think of the Flumps.
Stella: Don't like. Too harsh plus there's the lager connoitation.
Poppy: Too twee. Not keen.
Charlotte: Love.
Ida: OK. For some reason it reminds me of Edith Wharton novels though.
Abigail: Love.
Cora: Not keen. Makes me think of apple corers.
Verity: Love.
Agnes: Don't like at all, although the French/Latin pronunciation is an improvement.
Lucinda: Sounds too much like cinder.
Tilly: Ok as a nn for Matilda but I'm not keen on either of them really.
Madison: I'm afraid I can't abide this name.
Ava: Love.
Clara: Lovely if pronounced Clare+a as they do in Yorkshire. Clah + ra is not so pleasant.
Helen: Ok. Tend to prefer Ellen, Eleanor or Helena.
Olivia: Too ubiquitous.
Lucy: Not keen. Sounds too little girly to me, even though I know plenty of adults with the name.
Lorna: Not keen. Reminds me of forlorn and lovelorn. Plus Lorna Doone is a bit tragic, really.
Ella: Pretty but ubiquitous.
Dulcie: Love.
Juliet: Prefer Juliette, but this is ok.
Lauren: Love. Also like Laurel.
Ruby: Quite like.

I love Poppy! I named my baby this in Nov, I get loads of compliments, BUT it is fast becoming popular...I have heard it a fair bit since naming my DD this....I also LOVE Ava and this is Poppy's middle name...I wished I had kept it back for any future daughters I might have, but yet again this name is so popular now.

I LOVE Ruby too, it was a name on my short list.
