Like it, friends ds is called marco but they are italian, may be slightly weird if no italian links

I don't think you need to be Italian to use this. I like it far more than Mark or Marcus.

as a nick name for Marcus. Let Marco evolve 'organically' and then just call him marco. It wouldn't seem so 'huh are they Italian?, never knew'.

I prefer Marcus to Marco though.
