Which one shall I name my dd?

DD is due in may, I have a little boy,
Robert.
Surname starts with a B (and is very similar to the surname of the one show presenter Christine)

After weeks I've finally whittled my list down to:

Mary Elizabeth

Cressida Rose

Julia Rose

Juliet Rose

Which would you choose?

They are all lovely choices but I think Julia Rose is the prettiest

twosofar · 13/03/2010 08:46

in order of preference
Mary Elizabeth
Julia Rose
Juliet Rose
Cressida Rose

You don't hear many Marys or Julias and they are both really sweet - one is my Grandma and the other is my sister so I am biased!

bunnymother · 13/03/2010 08:49

Julia Rose, as Julia is such a beautiful name, and it sounds lovely when spoken.

BessieBoots · 13/03/2010 08:50

Mary or Juliet. Mary is very very cool IMO...

Fourleaf · 13/03/2010 09:35

They are all really nice- good taste! Maybe Cressida is a wee bit poncy for my liking. I think Juliet Rose is my fave.

diddl · 13/03/2010 10:10

Juliet Elizabeth?

narna · 13/03/2010 10:35

i like them all except Cressida .

0percypig0 · 13/03/2010 10:39

Thanks for the replies.
I think it's between Julia and Mary, just can't decide which.
Hubby isn't bothered either way so it's my choice.

Am I missing any shortenings or nicknames with the above? it's a personal hate when names are shortened, our son Robert is always called in full not Rob, Bob etc so just want to be one step ahead:

already thought of Maz and scary mary, cant think of any for Julia, surely she wouldn't get Julie?

Julia is lovely. There's another baby name thread about Julia at the moment. Hopefully it won't become too popular!

SmileysPeepul · 13/03/2010 10:45

Mary or Juliet both very lovely.

Eglu · 13/03/2010 10:47

I like Cressida. The rest are all a bit boring.

RachieB · 13/03/2010 11:12

Fourleaf · 13/03/2010 11:25

I think Julia/Juliet would get Jules/Jools, which is fine as long as you like it.

Juliet Rose is lovely. I like Elizabeth Mary better than Elizabeth Rose but either way is nice. I like Julia too.

I don't like Cressida at all.

mathanxiety · 27/03/2010 18:31

Juliet Rose is gorgeous. I love Mary Elizabeth too.
