Need a bit of inspiration.

Not a really short name as surname is shortish.

Any ideas gratefully received?

Thanks Lockets

Like Saskia, Kitty and Dominic

Have had a look at some name books but can't seem to get a short list together. Would like something that sounds nice with Charlie.

Not too put off by popular names as I think these are often regional. Charlie not nearly as popular up here for example as it seems to be down south.

Harry
Finlay
Alfie

Daisy
Sophie
Poppy

I know, overused but Sound cute together, my 2 are Sophie and Chloe x

MintChocAddict · 10/03/2010 22:11

Love Daisy but don't think DH would go for it. Also wonder if it would sound OK for a grown up IYSWIM.

Harry is nice but is also next doors dog. Might get a bit confusing when shouting him in for dinner in years to come.

Keep them coming though. I'm writing them down.

Your DDs names are lovely together.

Rose is lovely wiifat, (love your username BTW ), but definitely wouldn't work with our surname unfortunately.

Friends DS is Ben.

I'm a nightmare. There always seems to be a reason to rule out. Arghhh!

Charlie was the only name DH and I agreed on for DC1 so no back up options we can go back to for DC2.

Anyone like Romilly?

I've always kind of liked it, however have never come across one up here and wonder if it'd be perceived as a bit poncy?

Quite like Matilda liliputlady.

My other options were Leo, Christopher or James - all seemed to balance out Charlie somehow!

hobbgoblin · 10/03/2010 23:35

Ingrid
Kitty

MintChocAddict · 10/03/2010 23:51

Like Kitty. Not so sure about Ingrid
Leo nice and like James but not keen on Jim, Jamie etc

Gut feeling is that this one is another DS but best have some of each picked out just in case my instinct is wrong.

I'm so flippin' indecisive. Only had one name picked out last time that we agreed on and fortunately the gender matched the name. Would quite like a few more options this time.

I have Charlie and Olivia.

MintChocAddict · 11/03/2010 00:00

Olivia is lovely. Will add to the list and potentially nick your combination.

Actually also really like Oliver for a boy but DH not keen as he thinks it's not manly enough Yes, he's an eejit!

Off to bed now but thanks to all for your thoughts and suggestions. Much appreciated.
