Not pregnant, not planning anymore! But love this name, pronounced yens.

Opinions?

But if you're not planning a baby, why do you need a baby name?

BravoJuliet · 10/03/2010 16:54

eh mammy, why you posting twice if it's all so boring!?

don't worry disenchanted, I'm in your shoes, not planning any more, and happy to give you an opinion!

I like it. I knew a nice one years ago. I would be embarrassed using it with NO scandinavian link whatsoever though. But maybe it could be a good sibling name for a Magnus.

Bettymum · 10/03/2010 16:55

Reminds me of Jens Voight, lovely cyclist currently wearing the points jersey in the Paris-Nice road race. So yes, I like it .

Disenchanted3 · 10/03/2010 16:55

I don't, I just ove this name and was thinking what others though.

Why does it concern you so much

BravoJuliet you said it - not me!

BravoJuliet · 10/03/2010 17:21

3 times now mummy. Fuck off, and when you get there, fuck off again! (Sweetie)

sassysass · 10/03/2010 17:25

Wow Mummy369. You seem like a right bitch.

Disenchanted, I quite like it. Do you like Yann too? I love Yann.

nighbynight · 10/03/2010 17:30

I like it too.

Rindercella · 10/03/2010 17:36

Dis, am liking Jens. I knew one once at work and he was a real sweetie. I also love Jensen (but with a hard J).

bellissima · 10/03/2010 17:43

Had a nice school friend Jens back in geordie-land (his dad was Norwegian - not uncommon back in the days of North Sea oil boom). Also knew a Peter Jensen (same background) - so that to me is a surname.

ManicMother7777 · 10/03/2010 18:28

I like it, but - you'd have a lifetime of it being spelt Yens, or him being called Jens with a J sound, which personally I'd find a bit wearisome, so would not choose anything where it isn't pronounced how it looks.

Disenchanted3 · 10/03/2010 19:23

I almost suggested it to my friend earlier, shes expecting a boy, but stopped myself just in case I may need it myself someday

It looks as if it's short for Jennifer, plus you'd have to spend your life saying "it's pronounced Yens, and no we're not Scandinavian". Which seems an odd thing to want to saddle a child with.
