Hi mn's which would go better with ds1 Ellis James?Remy or Buster?
Dh loves Buster I don't really like it..If I put my foot down I think he'll go with Remy(I know he doesn't mind the name-he's just contrary..)
Also a distant friend has a Buster (and her eldest son is Blu)

You can't call a baby Buster. It's a bulldog's name.

I am not that enamoured of Remy either tbh.

Sorry.

I know someone who really liked Buster Keaton - they named their son Keaton as the woman refused to consider Buster.

Alouiseg · 10/03/2010 15:47

Lol, my bulldogs fathers name is Remy!!!! So you can't call him Remy either.

Although he is a prize winning champion dog!

My Bulldog is called Rupert, that's a nice name for a boy.

GetOrfMoiLand · 10/03/2010 15:52

If dd was a boy she would have been called Rupert.

Shaz10 · 10/03/2010 15:55

I dislike both. Sorry!

Sunshinemummy · 10/03/2010 15:58

I love Remy, although I do know a little boy called Buster. I know a Keaton too.

gingerkirsty · 10/03/2010 16:00

I agree, Buster is a dog's name. We used to know a little boy called Remy and I think it's a lovely name.

Alouiseg · 10/03/2010 16:01

.........Albeit rather unfortunate if he grows up with a drink problem?

Disenchanted3 · 10/03/2010 16:03

Disenchanted3 · 10/03/2010 16:04

Oh Remy for a boy?! ermm no. sorry!

Amapoleon · 10/03/2010 16:04

I dislike both too. Sorry

mopsyflopsy · 10/03/2010 16:05

Buster is quite cute for a boy, I know a 3 year old Buster.

Remy is ok, I think quite popular in France.

chippy47 · 10/03/2010 16:08

Buster - forever associated with a Phil collins less than brilliant film/Paul O'grady's dog/any dog....
Remy - ok if you are French maybe...

bruffin · 10/03/2010 16:09

The only Remi I know is italian

allydennis · 10/03/2010 16:28

Buster Bloodvessel

BoggleJunior · 10/03/2010 17:47

Buster is a nickname to my ear.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 10/03/2010 17:50

For the Love of God . NOT BUSTER. Possibly as a nn, but not a real name.

sausagepastie · 10/03/2010 17:53

Buster?

You are joking. That's just appalling. How would you have liked it if your mum had called you Buster?

PorphyrophillicPixie · 10/03/2010 17:56

Buster a definate no. Remy being pronounced "Rem-ee" or "Re-mee"? Have you thought of Remus instead?

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 10/03/2010 17:58

Buster is a dog's name.

Remy - as in the cognac? (OK, without the acute accent, granted)

Get thee back to the name book, for the sake of your unborn child.

seeker · 10/03/2010 18:03

Buster? Seriously? Buster?

If you're not careful, I'll tell you the name of a Scottish Rock band I used to be a fan of that started with Buster. That'll put you off the name.......
