diddl · 09/03/2010 08:06

Prefer Roseline

Bucharest · 09/03/2010 08:13

Nope.

What's up with Rose? It doesn't need to be jazzed about with.

CheerfulYank · 09/03/2010 15:56

Our last name is very short and hard-sounding Bucharest, so "Rose" might sound too abrupt.

No one likes it? Tear!

I love it!

DiamondHead · 09/03/2010 16:09

I think it's pretty.

I like Rosamund! And Rosalind.

Rosie is lovely too.

CheerfulYank · 09/03/2010 17:14

Oh good. I like older names and DH and I also like names that have "A" and "M" in them b/c those are our initials. Silly I know, but we realized when I was preg with DS that all the names we liked had those letters: William, Thomas, and Samuel. (DS is Sam) And I just think Rosamund is very pretty and Rosie really sweet.

I like Rosie.

seeker · 09/03/2010 18:22

I like Rosamund - but I think I prefre Rosalind - it sounds like a 'stronger" name somehow. And there is a fab Rosalind in Shakespeare as a role model!

mathanxiety · 09/03/2010 19:22

I think I prefer Rosalind too. Love Roisin.

cyteen · 09/03/2010 19:25

Gorgeous, would definitely be on my list for a girl

champagnesupernova · 09/03/2010 19:40

My mum is Roisin
Has spent 60+ years spelling her name

AllieW · 09/03/2010 19:55

I know. It sounded as if you were saying that Rosamund is a made up name like those you mention.

is it? I thought I was an expert in obscure biblical names - quite fancy triplets called Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo!!

It was the use of the word "unique" that threw me!

How do you pronounce Roisin?

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 10/03/2010 15:55

Oh and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo-the fire guys, right? I think I know that from Veggie Tales...

I actually know a few Meshachs. Well, two
