Unusual. At the moment evokes Meredith Kercher but that won't last for long.

Worried about Meredith Kercher aspect. I loved the name long before that sad story hit the press but concerned people may think that inspired me.

Presumably for a girl? Can be a boy's name in Wales.

Lovely name and Merry for a nn is beautiful too, was on our list.

I always get stuck on where to put the emphasis when I say this name - meh-reh-dith or mere-dith?

I really like it. Would you pronounce it Mer red ith or Meredith ? Haven't quite explained that right, but do you see what I mean ?! There is a little known 'Nativity' play called 'Meredith the Christmas Camel'!

I don't know who Meredith Kercher is. I think it's a really pretty name; the only Meredith I know personally is beautiful and a lot of fun, so I have good conotation.

It's my DSis's name, she abbreviates to Merr. Or Mez.

I really like it and would use it if it wasn't her name!
