Yup, we were with DD's name as XXX Amelia until I was in surgery and we suddenly settled on Mae, but the Mae West way of course.

Have a good friend with a "Frances" known as Frankie to all her mates. Frances is my mum's name and one of dd's middle name's. An Irish family , and mum occasionaly gets/ or has got called "Francie"but usually her full name is used by all. As an aside her full name is actually Mary Frances...... She is the eldest of nine (including half-siblings) and has a sister called Mary.too. Think my granny was running out of ideas!

Frankie is a really cool name for a girl. Brings to mind someone who knows their mind and is a bit intimidatingly cool Excellent choice!

If you don't like Francesca, then Frances would be another alternative, and Frances Mae sounds very nice. Frankie is too nickname for me - doesn't give many options if she doesn't feel like a Frankie when she is a bit older.

Francesca also gives her the choice of Chessie.
