Dh and I really love the name Scarlett. what do u think about it? I like the name Rose for a mn but dh not so sure. any mn suggestions welcome

Lovely name, my niece is a Scarlett. I know a couple but don't think it's massively popular.

Lovely. Scarlett Rose is v nice. My only hesitancy with the name is that Scar doesn't make for a nice nn... but I imagine not many people would call her that!

Also it's a very striking name and makes you think of a striking child/ woman, and the only Scarlett I know is a really mousy and shy, so it doesn't seem to suit her somehow.. but I'm sure she's the perfect Scarlett to her mum!

It's ok, but i don't like that Scar is the first part of the name... but altogether it's quite nice. LIke Violet. I sort of like it, and sort of don't like that it's close to violate/violent.... wishy washy answer for you there.

Really dislike this, although I recognize it is popular. For me it conjures up the expression 'scarlet woman' and therefore I am utterly unable to see it as pretty.

I like Scarlett and Rose but definitely wouldn't use them together. It sounds as if you are describing a red rose.

I dislike this name. It means being completely mortified (embarrassed), in Dublin. There's also the scarlet woman thing mentioned by AllieW.
