Dh loves the name Pippa for dc3.

What are your opinions of this name and how many do you know?

Thanks

Oquioqui · 03/03/2010 21:17

I like it

TalkingBack · 03/03/2010 21:20

I'm a bit worried about her being called Pip tbh, is it a boys name?

no I imagine Pip works for either

not sure I can see Pippa as a grown up though, would you consider it as a nn for Phillipa?

pointydog · 03/03/2010 21:44

I don't know any pippas and I am not keen at all. V twee

I know my dd (officially Philippa), and one other child, plus one adult. Obviously I love it.
And only a couple of people have ever shortened it to Pip.

mathanxiety · 03/03/2010 23:25

I would give her the choice of using Philippa as she grows older by calling her this on her birth cert, and using Pippa as a child.

Not keen on Philippa tbh
