how to convince hubby?

Does anyone have any advice on convincing your other half of a name?

I have only a few weeks left and since the beginning husband has just said NO to EVERY single one of the names that I like. I have suggested at least 30 and he doesnt like any of them...

any suggestions on how to persuade?

wait til you have the baby, let him watch your labour pains and he will be putty in your hands

what does he suggest calling him or her?

i would point out that the baby will need a name, and as he dislikes every name in existence then you will just have to choose one yourself.

if he won't suggest any then what else can you do???

Tell him that if he won't be constructive, the baby will end up being called Ebenezer Marmaduke or Jezebel Petronella.

Um, dunno. My fella was fairly unco-operative on the name front last time. He said that he felt I was going on about it too much and so it just made him switch off. Too late to do so now, but my fella would have responded better if I'd left it awhile and it sounds like yours is similar.

I would make up a shortlist and put it in your hospital bag. Then present him with it once you've given birth, in front of a nurse/his mother and make him choose there.
