What do you think of Huntlley as a boy's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.
I think this is a real nice name

GladioliBuckets · 25/02/2010 19:32

You could have twins Huntley and Hindley.

Pofacedagain · 25/02/2010 19:36

you mean Hindlley gladioli.

TweedyneeCole · 25/02/2010 19:37

Horrible in it;s own right, but the Ian associations make it beyond hideous.

DuelingFanjo · 25/02/2010 19:38

"Equally, bear in mind that the double l will instantly make it pronounced differently in Wales."

genius!!

also makes me think of Ian.

Pofacedagain · 25/02/2010 19:41

What's wrong with Hunter if you like that sort of thing?

SoupDragon · 25/02/2010 19:42

It looks like a typo.

SoupDragon · 25/02/2010 19:44

Also not good if your surname is Cope and you regularly suffer from Spoonerisms.

Pofacedagain · 25/02/2010 19:47

snort

ReneRusso · 25/02/2010 19:48

truly terrible, please don't do it

nickytwotimes · 25/02/2010 19:50

No, no, no.

I used to live hear Huntly, btw.

And yep, I thought Ian too.

Snigger at Huntlley Cope.

yellowcircle · 25/02/2010 19:50

Again, I think of Ian. Appalling connotation so please don't do it.

I would start another thread, saying what sort of baby names you like and people will suggest loads so that you can pick what you like.

PuzzleRocks · 25/02/2010 19:54

It's listed because you added it Rumer.

Feierabend · 25/02/2010 19:55

Err what?

Feierabend · 25/02/2010 19:55

'Err what' was in response to the original post, not PuzzleRock's post

Feierabend · 25/02/2010 19:56

and fancy seeing you here, Puzzle

PuzzleRocks · 25/02/2010 19:56

I guessed that Fei.

clayre · 25/02/2010 19:57

my first thought was Castle Huntly the jail outside Dundee

SoupDragon · 25/02/2010 19:59

I think the OP is made automtically if you add a name to the Babyname Finder.

PuzzleRocks · 25/02/2010 20:01

I see. Still an odd one though.

SoupDragon · 25/02/2010 20:03

I was more or less right

deaddei · 25/02/2010 20:04
