Already have a Sonny and expecting ds2. Any thoughts on

Dylan (now too popular/chav?)
Stanley (maybe doesn't go with sonny)
Zane
Cosmo
Theo
Flynn
Albie
Evan
Leon

Not sure about middle names yet. What do you think?

I love Cosmo, one of the characters on ER called her baby that.

LittlePushka · 24/02/2010 00:36

Leon and Arlo

Seth
Saul
Huw

Of your list, I like Leon most.

Zane Grey wrote westerns which my Dad and Uncle liked, so for me the name is inextricably linked with cowboys. That may be a good thing in your view, however, and it would at least be unusual without being too off the wall.

Ohhh I LOVE Leon but dh vetoed (on account of our French-sounding-though-we-are-not-French surname - actually I like most of your list.)
Dylan - love this name.
Stanley - love
Zane - love
Cosmo - like
Theo - love
Flynn - not for me
Albie - not for me
Evan - hmm, a grower
Leon -love

Arlo and Milo also great.

My ds is Sky/Skyler (Schuyler) if our tastes are similar. We also had Emil (too French again) and Dexter as strong contenders!

How funny, I have a Sonny but his name when he was inside me was Albie and we very nearly called him it. My vote for Albie definitely.

Of your other names I like Cosmo and Leon.

Bumnoise · 24/02/2010 10:01

Sonny and Zane go nicely together

UpYourViva · 24/02/2010 10:04

I like Evan and i love Zane

spenthen · 24/02/2010 10:26

"Sonny and Evan" sounds a bit like "sunny in heaven".

Or maybe it doesn't to anyone else.

I know a lovely kid called Flynn.

diddl · 24/02/2010 10:42

Can I just throw Jethro into the mix?

foreverastudent · 24/02/2010 12:00

i know some one who had a sonny and a vincent

TweedyneeCole · 24/02/2010 14:45

I really like Albie.

Theo is lovely but it is becoming a bit of a 'Jaden' name around here ie. every other mum screeching it out after her son in the park

Stanley is cute. Not usually one for the old man names.

Cosmo, Flynn and Zane are horrid.

Evan is awful.

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:47

Zane goes best with Sonny, I think.

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:48

Oh I know two brothers called Sonny and Archie.

solongpumpkin · 25/02/2010 11:42

spenthen - good point, particularly when said in cockney accent (not that we are cockneys but know where you are coming from).

diddl - hubby is a big music fan so will have to ask him if he likes Jethro Tull!

I think dh has vetoed Cosmo. Liking the suggestions. Checked out national statistics names for last year, i think sonny was at 108 - more popular than names such as Andrew and nicholas!
