Have posted before about names for our third dd.
Well, she's now here, nearly a week old and still nameless.
We have a shortlist of names we both like but haven't yet chosen 'the one':

Alice
Beatrice
Elin (dh is welsh)
Matilda

Already have an Isabella and an Emily.

What do you think? please help me choose!

Beatrice

LynetteScavo · 22/02/2010 20:28

Alice.

arsebiscuit · 22/02/2010 20:32

Matilda.

Hulababy · 22/02/2010 20:32

I love the name Matilda
Alice is nice too.
Beatrice is ok.
Not so keen on Elin.

thirtysomething · 22/02/2010 20:33

Elin lovely but sounds quite like Emily.

Love Beatrice and Matilda (with nn Tilly). I would probably pick one of those to go with your other names.

Alice is pretty but incredibly popular and quite "plain".

Which of the names seems to suit her best?

DD was going to be sophie until she arrived - she just didn't look like a "sophie" so we gave her a different name (same as one of your DDs) and have never regretted not choosing Sophie...

Congratulations too on your new DD!

I love Matilda and Alice!
I like Beatrice a lot.
Elin is okay.

The top three are perfect with Isabella and Emily.

mathanxiety · 22/02/2010 20:45

Love all, but with the names you already have, I think Matilda sounds lovely.

Maria2007loveshersleep · 22/02/2010 22:06

Matilda is beautiful. Alice I love too.

Eglu · 22/02/2010 22:14

Matilda is really lovely.

AbFabT · 22/02/2010 22:17

Alice, so all names start with a vowel, and not Elin because then she'd have to share her initial with Emily.

P.S. Congratulations!

Doozie · 22/02/2010 22:53

All lovely names. I would choose Beatrice or Matilda to go best with Isabella and Emily. Maybe Beatrice just pips it to have three different endings (not that it really matters!).

Thanks for your comments.
I think we are now down to Matilda or Beatrice. DD2s best friend is a Bea and she's adamant that she doesn't want her sister to be called Bea too.

Maybe we should go for Matilda with Beatrice as a middle name because I've had Beatrice on my list since we were pregnant with DD1 and dont want to lose it completely.
