Do you like the name Annie?

My friends 16 year old daughter is Annie.Think it's a lovely name.

Anna is better.

I love it, wanted to consider it for DD but DH doesn't like it.

I love it but as a nn with something longer on the bc....

I know some people hate the longer name on the bc idea but I think it's for the best. I remember thinking Annie was really dowdy only 5 years ago (when I first heard of one). Now it's grown on me. So it's a bit like Edith. It's a name that either IN fashion or out of it. Annabel/Anna are less of the moment. I know some older than me, my age, and children too.

There is Johanna too but for some reason I really don't like that.

I love it! DS has a friend called Annie Valentine which is a fabulous name IMHO!

Annie I've never been madly keen on as a nickname (still less as a full name); it makes me think of an older woman, a bit dowdy. Still, it's not bad or anything, of course.

My Anna (2) was nn Annie from day one by our ds and it has stuck. She refers to herself as Annie now. Good thinkg I think it's lovely

Love it, but only for a little girl. Would prefer Annabel or something more grown up and Annie could be a nickname for her in childhood.

Sweet as a nn for Annabelle or Antoinette, not keen on it as stand alone, I don't think.
