My friend and her husband are going to name their baby this if he's a boy. Thoughts?

Taking the surname thing a step too far. Way too gimmick-y in my opinion.

Big monster in Monsters Inc (the best kids film of all time!)

Did you hear about the man with one eye??

cookielove · 14/02/2010 11:17

ha ha that would so not go with my soon to be last name.

But i actually do like it

Tá a ainm súil amháin

that is all very cryptic and nonsensical I'm sure. Old Irish 'joke'.

Sullivan as a first name. I don't know, I've heard worse. But Sully is an awful nick name. Saul would make a nice name.
In fact, what about Saul??

oh, it's for your friends. Out of your hands!!

If they really had to go down that road, what's wrong with Donovan?

thislittlesisterlola · 14/02/2010 17:07

just reminds me of a person who didnt give me a job on very pathetic grounds. but thats just me. on the whole does sound very surnamey- not a real word i apologise.

MaggieMaeve · 14/02/2010 18:25

Donovan better because Donny or Don is a much better nn

lisselotte · 14/02/2010 19:25

Really not to my taste- sorry!

CheerfulYank · 15/02/2010 01:44

I think it's the paternal grandmother's maiden name. I like it, personally, but it doesn't matter as it's not my name! Just wanted to know other's thoughts. Also as we're in America the surname thing isn't really a big deal. I like it much better than Carter or Parker at any rate!

I like Sully as a nn b/c of Paul Newman's character in Nobody's Fool. Pretty much anytime anything could be connected to Paul Newman, I'm on board!
