I was just wondering what are the best sibling names you've heard. I think it's intersting what names people think work well together.

do you mean nice, go well together names, or ones that make you laugh?

taffetacat · 11/02/2010 16:56

Sam and Ella

say it fast

luciemule · 11/02/2010 17:25

Can't write what they are in case my friend (who's DH it is) is on MN but basically, her DH has the same name as his brother only with a different galic spelling. So one spells the name in one language and one in another. They're both lovely names but I'd never heard of parents doing that before.

Someone I worked with has twin boys called Jack and Daniel.

welshandproud · 11/02/2010 17:48

Charlie and Billy, any guesses what their parents were into?

Summer and Autumn

pigleychez · 12/02/2010 12:49

A friends DH wanted to call thier twin boys either Tom and Jerry or Ben and Jerry

He didnt get his way!

AllieW · 12/02/2010 18:03

My friend's two boys are Mordecai and Tobias. I think they sound lovely together. (Mordecai is usually known as Kai and Tobias as Tobe - the abbreviations work too.)

My dad once had clients - a Muslim family - and all 3 boys had the exact same first name. Like George Foreman and his 5 sons, all called George. Why would you do that?

randomama · 12/02/2010 18:08

I used to babysit brothers George and Harrison

eandh · 12/02/2010 18:14

my 2 dd's are Ellie and Hattie whic I think go nicely (orinally dd2 was going to be Charlotte nickname Lottie so would have been Ellie and Lottie!)

LuciaRose · 16/02/2010 10:35

I meant names that sound really nice together, not funny! For example, I know a brother and sister called Felix and Flora - I think they sound lovely together.

I know twins called Rex and Hope which I think is lovely.

Holly and Violet
Jago, Romy and Indiana
Vigo and Innis
Arthur, Elsie & Jim
Teddy & Otto

LittleDonkin · 16/02/2010 11:25

My sisters DC are

Harvey
Charlotte
Finley
Toby
Lilian

She is 18 weeks pregnant with number 6 and if its a girl it will be Alexandra or Zachary if its a boy. I think all the names are lovely.

SE13Mummy · 16/02/2010 12:32

We have Harriet and Miriam aka Hattie and Mim so would say that they go well together. Miriam would have been Jude if she'd been a boy.

Mine are Adam, Ben, Rosie, Jack and Lucy which I think go pretty well together in that they are all short and easy to spell.

My friend's are Sammie,Terri, Lewis, Michaela and Harley which I don't really like (just like she doesn't like mine ) but think they fit together.

KAEKAE · 17/02/2010 18:59

We have an Oliver and Poppy...but I wanted Oliver and Florence!

My 4 dd's all have hyphenated names so they all seem to go.

My fil is a twin and his sister is called Jill, his name unsurprisingly is Jack Their mum must have been a comic!

Dp is called Lee and his next closest brother is called Perry, we always wonder if MIL had a fetish for sauce.

"My dad once had clients - a Muslim family - and all 3 boys had the exact same first name. Like George Foreman and his 5 sons, all called George. Why would you do that?"

I know exactly why! because I spend half the day saying the wrong child's name. I wish I had listened to ds1 who wanted to give both his brothers the same name as him! lol

allaboutme · 17/02/2010 20:43

I know a family where the mum and dad took it in turns to name a child, so DCs 1,3 and 5 have very very unusual ultra modern names and DCs 2 and 4 have traditional english, much more popular/common names!

florencepink · 17/02/2010 23:10

I know of an Eva and an Ivor though they are step brother and sister so not planned that way!
