Well, I like Benedict.

Bucharest · 11/02/2010 10:51

Ach- I thought Lola was back for a minute there.

Who's he had a new son with? Is it a proper one or a broom cupboard one?

mopsyflopsy · 11/02/2010 13:45

Yes, this is a proper son with his new wife.

I really like Amadeus .

tiredlady · 11/02/2010 13:47

Maybe Amadeus is a bit like Jack in Germany?
I like it

sophiesmummie · 11/02/2010 14:00

I quite like Amadeus. Maybe they are fans of Mozart (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)...?

diddl · 11/02/2010 14:00

I love it!

I don´t think it´s that popular here!

Skegness · 11/02/2010 14:03

I think Amadeus is very cool, actually. Would never have the courage myself, but it is rather fab. Don't like Benedict or Edley. I would call my son Eggs as a nn if he was callled Benedict.

shoobidoo · 11/02/2010 14:04

I'm German and have never heard of Amadeus before (apart from Mozart, that is , so it is very unusual... but I really like it!

Has a nice meaning too "amare" = to love, "deus" = god (latin).

Sunshinemummy · 11/02/2010 14:56

I like Amadeus and Benedict but not so keen on Edley or Luis.

WeddingDaze · 11/02/2010 14:58

Amadeus was a tacky nightclub near where i am, so not so good for me, but whatever.

lottiejenkins · 11/02/2010 15:02

I was then coming to post this.......... That child will have Rock me Amadeus sung at him non stop poor thing!

GothDetective · 11/02/2010 15:03

So he's called his son Love God! Excellent.

mumoftoomany · 11/02/2010 15:28

I like Amadeus. Not that keen on Benedict - lots of scope for teasing with that one.

mumoftoomany · 11/02/2010 15:30

Amadeus is the Latin form of the Greek name Theophilus/Theodore - both meaning 'blessed (or loved) by God'.

Nothing wrong with that imo.

WorzselMummage · 11/02/2010 15:34

I know an amadeus

His surname's mozart too would you believe !

cory · 11/02/2010 17:20

Amadeus is the Latin form of the Greek name Theophilus (not Theodore, which means gift of God) and of the German name Gottlieb. Moart was actually called Gottlieb iirc but preferred the Latin form.

AllieW · 12/02/2010 18:34

Love Benedict (we'd like to call a future son Arthur Benedict). Not so keen on the others but then, I'm one of those weird people who doesn't like Mozart very much.

RnB · 12/02/2010 18:36

Love Amadeus and Benedict (have one). Not keen on the others
