I know quite a few.

It is a nice sounding name though.

I don't think of it as chav, just common (as in lots of them).

I think it's a lovely name. Not chav at all.

It's not as common as Chloe, Emily/Amelie, Sophie, etc.

Not chav - but very, very dull.

I think it's sweet esp for a winter baby.

Quite like it but I get a bit uptight about it being used for baby's not born near Christmas. Does that make sense? Not sure why as it makes no difference to me. Just feels like a Christmas baby name, like Robyn

Holly is ok, but as others have said it's a 'wintery' name (December imo)

However it's not Chav and indeed a very pretty name

It's ok. It seemed to be used a lot about 10 years ago but not so much now.

I do find it a bit predictable for a Christmas/Winter baby tho.

See, I'd only call a girl Holly if she wasn't born around Christmas.

Otherwise it just looks as if you haven't even thought about the name at all and have just thought, 'oh sod it, just call her Holly'. Completely predictable.

My DD's called Holly (so obviously I'm bias) however, I find that

a Its always getting spelt wrong - Hollie instead of Holly

b People always say 'I bet you were a christmas baby' - erm no actually, I just liked the name

Other than that we get lots of comments about how nice a name it is and I only know of two other Holly's both completely different ages to mine
