Hmm, not keen myself. A bit old hat and Kerry's-kid-from-Neighbours. Is it for the Island or the, er, sky?

frizzylizzie · 31/01/2010 00:43

Hmmm, yeah I did think of the Neighbours link.

I love it, really pretty.

weegiemum · 31/01/2010 01:33

I do like (but I like Island names)

My dd1 (10) has 2 in her class.

Other island names for girls are Iona, Isla, Rhona (Rona) Lorna (from Lorn).

It's a lovely name, very pretty.

butadream · 31/01/2010 12:00

I like it esp. if you are Scottish

Fruitysunshine · 31/01/2010 12:01

I love it - very beautiful.

janeite · 31/01/2010 12:16

Not keen, sorry.

boodleboot · 31/01/2010 14:51

not sure.....might grow on me but i think its more of a second name than a first name....

rubyslippers · 31/01/2010 14:53

It was on our girl;s name list but we didn't use it

i do think it is pretty

JillJill32 · 31/01/2010 15:21

I know a few dogs called Skye. Although it's pretty, for this reason i would steer clear.

LynetteScavo · 31/01/2010 15:26

I too know a couple of dogs called Skye, but apparently my DS has a dogs name, and it's never bothered me.

jellybeans · 31/01/2010 19:05

I love it

passionberry · 31/01/2010 19:13

I think it's really pretty - am considering it myself for a second name.

shoobidoo · 31/01/2010 21:16

Skye is lovely - feminine and elegant!

Shoshe · 31/01/2010 21:29

My DD was Chynna Skye, DGD is Skye, beautiful name.

frizzylizzie · 01/02/2010 13:14

My friend is thrilled with the responses (tis for her, not myself).
I personally am not keen but obviously I'm in the minority! She is moving to Aus. so the baby will grow up there, where is seems to be more accepted and less whacky.

Spoilt by Sky which is a bit chavvy.

Littlefish · 01/02/2010 13:23

Isn't the boy in "Mamma Mia" calle Sky/Skye?

If so, you might find that it becomes popular.

Also, I don't like it.
