Chandler?

I know it's very "Friends" but I'm fine with that association. I've just always liked the name. WDYT - honestly. And what would be the obvious nicknames, if any?

Im my opinion, Chandler is one of those names where the pronounciation makes a real difference.

There's something horribly Hooray Henry about the Southern ChARndler to my ears. All rugby shirts with the collar turned up and real ale and calling girls 'totty'.

Whereas the Northern ChANdler sounds fine.

Saying that, I'm not overkeen. However it's said, it has quite a harsh, 'unpretty' sound, iyswim. But I don't hate it. Go for it if you love it.

Also, be prepared for Friends jokes for a few weeks whem you announce the name, but it'll wear off soon enough and it'll just be what he's called.

I hear Chandler, I think 'Bing'. But then I am of the Friends' generation.

It's quite cute actually. No nicknames immediately spring out though.

Do you not recall "Chandler's a girl, Chandler's a girl" when Phoebe gave birth to the triplets?

Chad sounds more masculine than Chan.

I wouldn't do it though. Cooper, Carter, Parker, Hunter. All of that. NOt my style. But Chandler is better than Hunter or Parker, but that is all it has going for it, it's one of the less bad profession names.

Love it. Will convince DH to use this for any future DS.
