Thoughts please? My husband loves it but part of me thinks is a bit 'wet' - not that I am even sure what I mean about that! I prefer Noah I think... but don't hate Myles... really struggling with hormones clouding my judgement!

I find it wet-sounding (as MrsWoolf knows lol)
Prefer it to Giles though, but only just.

I love Noah!

I am not sure why I think it is a bit wet though??

I don't find it wet.. Miles is quite nice (Myles is not good though). Miles does however scream "trust fund kid....", which is totally fine if that's you kind of background...

PoppyIsApain · 12/01/2010 11:39

I prefer Noah, Miles seems a little bit bland IYKWIM.
Noah seems strong in a way.

I am slightly biased as I am sitting here with my lovely 4 month old Miles, but I think it's a nice name.

I automatically went for the 'i' not the 'y'.

We have only had positve comments, but then not many people would say your baby name is crap.

To me it's a wee bit different but still a real name.

We are definitely not posh btw, I have heard that comment on here about the name.

ironlikealion · 12/01/2010 18:33

Perfectly nice name, would spell it Miles rather than Myles.

It's not wet, it makes me think of rugged outdoors types.

shoobidoo · 13/01/2010 17:15

I like Myles. To my ears it sounds strong and masculine.

Noah is nice too, but a little 'softer', probably because of the 'a' ending (which to me sounds feminine).

Not sure what people mean with 'wet'

Miles - makes me think of a jazz musician. They usually aren't wet.
