Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It's lovely, though I have only ever know male Shilohs. Perhaps it is unisex.

Fruitbatlings · 04/01/2010 15:49

Pitt

skidoodle · 04/01/2010 15:51

I think it's beautiful but wouldn't use it because it's totally associated with Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. Sort of like calling your daughter Cher. Or Sade. Or Amy Winehouse.

PanicMode · 04/01/2010 16:01

I wouldn't because of the J-P connections either. But that doesn't stop it being a really lovely name - perhaps you're braver than me!

tanmu82 · 04/01/2010 16:11

I've liked that name for years and never heard of anyone with that name until the J-P's used it and ruined it for the rest of us :-( I don't think you would ever get away from the association and most people would assume that's where you got the idea ...

birdofthenorth · 04/01/2010 16:18

I wouldn't. Lovely name but I suspect Shiloh J-P will get more not less famous as the years go by!

mopsyflopsy · 04/01/2010 16:58

I don't think it sounds feminine at all...

RainRainGoAway · 04/01/2010 17:00

Yes its a great name. But everyone is going to compare her to THE Shiloh.

And I am afraid to say I think she is going to be a stunner. Not sure I would have liked the same name as the stunner of our day.

GladioliBuckets · 04/01/2010 17:17

Of course had Brangelina come on MN, someone would have pointed out the Pile o'shitt pun before it was too late .

I always imagine an old man for Shiloh, kind of a Fagin character. Dunno why - Shylock from Merchant of Venice maybe.

SplitPea · 04/01/2010 17:28

I must admit that I hadn't heard it before the J-P's called their daughter Shiloh.

How is it pronounced?

MortaIWombat · 04/01/2010 17:35

Lovely name - unless your surname is Pitt. Because then, of course, if someone sponnerisms (?) it....
pile o' shit, anyone? Poor wee child.

boodleboot · 04/01/2010 20:41

ah the cult of celeb will be dead in years to come and no one will give a monkeys ass about what actors call their kids i reckon....
