Any ides for a middle name that goes with Hugo? My baby is two weeks old and still unnamed so any thoughts would be appreciated!

oh I LOVE Hugo but we had 3 girls!!

ours would have been

Hugo Jack or Hugo George for family reasons

Hugo James is nice too

congratulations

happywheezer · 03/01/2010 18:26

Congratulations! What a great name to choose. Husband informed me that he didn't like this name despite me loving this name.
Anyway, I think Hugo James sounds like a firm of solicitors.
Do you have any scottish/irish/welsh blood? some names might go nicely with Hugo. It's quite a posh name so something posh wouldgo with Hugo too. George would be lovely. William
Arthur
Max

frazzledoldbag two of my favouriet names

Shae · 03/01/2010 21:37

Thanks so much. We had already thought of George, William and Montgomery (although I'm worried how posh the last one might sound) so it is helpful to get some other ideas. Oh, and the little one was 5 weeks early, hence we had not yet picked out names!

I would have Hugo David

David is much underused in my opinion.....

Shae · 03/01/2010 22:08

Do you think we could do "Hugo Orlando"? I'm worried about two names ending in "o"...

The other names on our shortlist are:
Montgomery
Willard
Wallace
Ignatius
Theodore
Isaac

Can anyone see any major issues with any of these?

I'm not liking the sound of Hugo Orlando sorry - too many 'Os' for me

love Monty
Willard is a bit meh for me
Wallace am not keen on and for a scots burd you'd think I would be
Ignatius I like but not Iggie which is might become
Theodore is lovely
Isaac- lovely

what about Dashiel or Cassian or Cassius?

doingthelambethwalk · 03/01/2010 23:12

If you like Ignatius, what about Xavier? I always think X is a cool middle initial.

happywheezer · 04/01/2010 09:37

I like Orlando, but not with Hugo, sorry. It is the O thing. What does your surname start with?
Monty is the name of our dog but I still like it.
Isaac is really nice
willard ok
Wallace OK
Iggy Ok
Theodore nice.
What about Samuel? or Wilfred? Alfred?
