Yes, it's lovely. I know a very sweet Lorien, generally known as Lolly. She likes her name but does have to spell/explain it an awful lot.

Note to self: must read thread titles properly.

Yes, I think it would work for a boy, too. Shortened to Lori.

Seeing as I am not pg, I can be quite flexible with my fantasty baby names

I didn't know it was an actual name (though Wiki says it comes from Tolkien and Babylon 5 - I knew about Tolkien but am a fan of neither, though risk looking like a geek if I use it). It's growing on me actually!

its lovely for a girl.....

differentID · 02/01/2010 13:21

I was about to ask if you were a babylon 5 fan.

JingleBellsBatmanSmells · 02/01/2010 13:32

I can find three on the net, two female, one male. It just seemed more boyish to me, but I like it for a girl too Oh and the Babylon 5 one is male. Not a connection I'm overjoyed about, though Wiki reckons he's very wise and powerful, which is nice.

JingleBells, this particular Lorien was named after the LOTR place.
