What do you think of Lavinia, Katerina or Honor?

Also which spelling of Katerina do you think is the more 'correct' spelling - with a C or a K?

Thanks.

Katerina. Although I prefer Katrina.

Honor.

I have a dd called Katarina, it's my middle name, a popular name in Germany (where I'm from) and dh was very keen on using it for dd2. TBH, if I could turn back time I would have gone for a more regular name. Her name is constantly mis-spelled and mispronounced (I know - how hard can it be?! ).
Wish we'd gone for Catherine or Kate instead....

I think Lavinia is off the list... Lav as a nn and Titus Andronicus have put me off sufficiently!

Irish/English background so Catherine/Kate more fitting but have to admit I think they are nice but too sensible ...

geekgirl really didn't envisage mispronunciation with Katerina... how odd and annoying. What do people pronounce it as .

Will decide between;
Honor Katerina
or
Katerina Honor

I know 2 Irish Honors (sometimes Honora was used in times past, shortened to Nora)

Well I'm biased as I have a Katerina with a K.

Her full Greek name is Aikaterine but that is only used on official documents.
We don't shorten it and didn't have many problems when we lived in England with pronunciation but I'm Welsh and it's an easy name for my Welsh family. We now live in Greece so there's never a problem.

Sesi - she's frequently called Katrina by others - which is a pretty name and all, but they're missing out a syllable from her actual name! We've also had Catriona on numerous occasions... and then there are always people who start reading her name and then seemingly give up . It's really irritating.
