How popular is it? What would you shorten it to (if anything)? Suggestions for a middle name?

Thanks!

Always a Tweenie to me, wether you think that's a good or bad thing is up to you!

Poledra · 21/12/2009 11:23

He's a Tweenie, and therefore bugs the shit outta me

DrSkidaddle · 21/12/2009 11:33

I have a Milo so obviousy I love it. He doesn't have a middle name, but a 3 syllable traditional one might be good. There are a few other Milos near us (Oxford) but I never met any when we lived up north. Don't think it has made it to the top 100 yet...

A malted chocolate milk drink.

diddl · 21/12/2009 12:41

I really like it.

flowerybeanbag · 21/12/2009 12:42

DS2 is Milo so obviously I like it. Don't plan to shorten it at all, that would be difficult anyway!

He has my maiden name as a middle name.

MaggieAnFiaRua · 21/12/2009 12:42

I like it, but I think O names are Over. (apart from Hugo).

I wanted to call my son Bruno though, so I get where you're coming from. Glad I didn't as four years on, I feel that O names are sliding downwards towards the dreaded c word.

achristmasbaby · 21/12/2009 12:57

I quite like it and i don't think that O names are over. I think they are very in fashion! I quite like Rio and Theo too.

diddl · 21/12/2009 13:25

Oh for heavens sake.
my children are well brought up, well mannered.
It´s that that marks them out as not being chavs!

melrose · 21/12/2009 13:30

Tweenie!

cupcake75 · 21/12/2009 14:04

birdofthenorth · 21/12/2009 14:13

Thissideofchannel · 21/12/2009 20:51

Do you pronounce it

My-lo

or

Mee-lo

andlipsticktoo · 21/12/2009 20:56

My friend's son is Milo (born before Tweenies) and it really suits him. I also have a cousin whose ds1 is Milo.

I like it.

dreamingofsun · 22/12/2009 15:48

we chose this for our cat - suited him really well

Doobydoo · 22/12/2009 15:54

My ds2 [3 in April]is called Milo
He has no middle name. Some of the ones on here go well

ChickensHaveNoTinsel · 22/12/2009 15:56

I like it.

flimflammum · 22/12/2009 15:58

Here Milo is a malted chocolate drink and chocolate breakfast cereal.

BTW, how can your choice of name possibly depend on whether it's 'over' or 'in fashion'? It's a human being, not a chihuahua.

SmacOnTheLipsUnderTheMistletoe · 22/12/2009 16:48

sounds a bit wet to me.

Polgara2 · 22/12/2009 16:56

Sorry it's just........ a Tweenie!

OzKate · 22/12/2009 17:52

I used to like Milo but have been put off by a woman I see locally who is always screaming out to her son Milo at the top of her voice and I'm afraid it just sounds so pretentious! xx

Doobydoo · 22/12/2009 18:59

Don't think it at all pretentious...nor is it wet.Odd how pwople feel so strongly about other peoples choices.
