Love all of those names. Eva is very, very popular though.

audley · 17/12/2009 16:05

Tough choice, Xanthe is probably my favourite. The only one I don't like is Poppy.

Mistletoesnowman · 17/12/2009 16:27

Isadora and Xanthe. Eva is very popular.

bumpybecky · 17/12/2009 16:37

if you've only got a week left I'd wait and see what she looks like

Ondine · 17/12/2009 16:38

I'd pick Xanthe.

Only one I don't like is Poppy as it's too cutesy.

The popularity of Eva would put me off tbh.

HerbalHolly · 17/12/2009 16:40

I think Eva is a lovely name. I didn't know it was all that popular at the moment - great minds I guess! It's on my list of possible girl's names too.

Horton · 17/12/2009 16:47

Isadora or Xanthe, definitely.

Marne · 17/12/2009 16:52

I would pick Saffron as its my dd2's name .

I like all of the names on your list.

PollyTechnique · 17/12/2009 17:07

Isadora, with nn Issy or Dora

picklemum · 17/12/2009 18:27

Thank you everyone, golden advice which will use to discuss with dh

Xanthe is my favourite on your list. It's pretty unusual too. I'd wait and see what she looks like too though.

sunshinejanuary · 17/12/2009 19:43

I like Saffron, easy to spell and yet different

malung · 17/12/2009 20:04

Xanthe is the most fantastic name. Please choose it. Eva and Poppy, though nice are very, very popular here in Surrey

MamaLazarou · 17/12/2009 20:05

Isadora is especially lovely - not a name you hear every day.

I agree that Poppy is too cutesy and Eva too popular. Xanthe is nice, but could raise annoying spelling issues. Saffron's OK, I don't feel strongly about it either way.

Sexonlegs · 17/12/2009 20:07

What does your surname start with and how many sylables (sp?) are there in it?

Ineedsomesleep · 17/12/2009 20:35

Herbalholly yes, Eva is very popular as is Ava and Evie. I'd steer away from those if you want a name that is a little different.

muminthemiddle · 17/12/2009 22:33

I like Eva best.

bigstripeytiger · 17/12/2009 22:42

I like Isadora and Xanthe from your list.

lowrib · 18/12/2009 01:41

Xanthe is a great name.

BlackLetterDay · 18/12/2009 02:33

Out of those deffo xanthe.

liliputlady · 18/12/2009 11:37

I like Eva and Poppy

jellybeans · 18/12/2009 12:13

Isadora not keen
Eva love it
Poppy ok
Xanthe awful
Saffron awful

Prefer Eva. It's not as popular as Evie.
