BunnyLebowski · 14/12/2009 15:33

Erm.....Really?

rubyslippers · 14/12/2009 15:34

never heard it before

don't like it at all

deepdarkwood · 14/12/2009 15:38

Umm, you know it's the name of a type of monkey, right - very cute and all, but still...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamarin

Cortina · 14/12/2009 15:38

It's a monkey?? I didn't know that! I met one today (an adult) and liked the name. That's a lady rather than a monkey

It's lovely. I know a Tamaryn, known as Tammy, and she is gorgeous and fab.

Ondine · 14/12/2009 17:04

I think of the monkey, then I think of the fruit Tamarind that you use in curries.

As a name..... no I think it's odd.

mathanxiety · 14/12/2009 17:12

Prefer Tamsin or Tamar, or Tamara.

LetThereBeRock · 14/12/2009 20:19

It's a monkey.

Mongolia · 14/12/2009 20:21

I would just call her Tamara and use the Tamarin as a nick name.

It is too near to a monkey and a tropical seed...

CitizenPrecious · 14/12/2009 20:25

it is a very cute monkey though

StrictlyKatty · 16/12/2009 15:15

I know a tamaryn and I adore the name

crumpette · 17/12/2009 10:28

monkey monkey monkey

crankytwanky · 17/12/2009 23:17

As in Golden Lion....

Rindercella · 17/12/2009 23:21

I new someone once called Tamasin. Close, but not a monkey afaik.

Rindercella · 18/12/2009 11:11

my spelling was appalling last night. I blame pregnancy and the third cold/bug in a month.

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/12/2009 11:17

Makes me think of curry ingredients as well. What's wrong with Beryl?

rolandpatricia · 12/12/2016 18:36

kittylh · 12/12/2016 21:28

Makes me think of the monkey!

SorenaJ · 13/12/2016 12:40

I like Tamsin, but not Tamarin

pinkyredrose · 13/12/2016 14:43

Sounds like a spice!

SweetChickadee · 13/12/2016 14:46

I know a Tamryn. I like it.

1horatio · 13/12/2016 14:55

There's the spice Tamarind, the monkeys and the shoe brand Tamaris...

I personally am not a fan of this name.

Lindy2 · 13/12/2016 14:55

Tamrin, Tamsin or Tasmin = all quite nice.
Tamarin = a furry little monkey.

1horatio · 13/12/2016 14:55

Tamsin is cute, btw.

I really like that suggestion:)
