my ex and his wife have just had a lovely little girl (aw!!) But i think the name is bloody awful, everyone else seems to think it's ace. (Its ok they live in the US so can post safely).

Calliope Danger Surname... Odd or Ace?

Hate it when people try and give their DC's 'personality' through their names. I know someone who gave their daughter 'rebel' as a middle name. What if she's a quiet type? She'll constantyl feel her parents would have preferred someone different.

Calliope is acceptable- it's been around for centuries, even if not in common use.

I did just google it as I'd never heard of the name. I also added "Danger" to the google search and there is indeed another child with the same name. Who'd have thought it?

Danger for the middle name is really very unoriginal and silly. Apparently Danger is one of the most popular middle names added on one of the main deed poll websites.
