Thoughts on Cody and Coby

Are these awful (for a boy) - thinking my hormones are affecting my brain!

I don't like them much - Cody is marginally more to my taste - but they are short, easy to spell. It really is up to you.
I know a lovely little girl called Anelka! i suppose one day the footballer will be forgotten and it will sound like a pretty name.

i think cody is a girls name, like the one in neighbours?? years ago.

Even spelled with a C (and I have seen many with K) they are both still that sort of name.

Coby is apparently a very old gaelic name. So says my not-that-sort-of-person-but-still-goes-in-for-this-sort-of-name friend.

Kobe is also a Hebrew name.

They're both awful though.

I know a Kobe. I really liked the name and thought it would be pretty cool to be named after the basketballer player Kobe Bryant ....until he got embroiled in a high profile (in the USA) rape trial. Then, not so cool.

Our lab is called Codie after the Cody in The Suite Life. DS is a big fan and he named the dog. Changed it to Codie as pup is female.

Cody is actually an old Irish surname so it also fitted in well for me as I wanted something Irish.
