Help naming friend's due baby (sex unknown, name beginning with K)

My friend is 38 weeks and still hasn't decided on possible names for the baby. Her and her DP do not yet know the sex of the baby and already have one girl called Kadey.

After my raving about MN, she has left me with the challenge of asking you all to help with name suggestions.

All she has given me is that the name should preferably begin with K and it should be unusual, but not weird.

So - any suggestions please?

How about Kirk for a boy? I don't think I have heard it before, but it's a nice, easy to spell, unusual name.

Sorry, just that one suggestion, but all my others have been mentioned already!

Good luck to your friend.

Kayla?

VengefulKitty · 10/12/2009 00:51

I personally love Kayla and considered it when I was PG with DS before I knew the sex.

But again, too normal for her and too similar to Kadey.

Kirk also too "normal" and old.

I think K's are hard!!!!!

Kenton?

Kezia?

Not Kascha, even though it does sound nice - it's the Russian for porridge.

Fans of a certain school that started in Austria and ended in Switzerland will be familiar with the twins: Kevin and Kester.

I quite like Kester myself.
Or Krista?

Does anyone else go here?

I haven't done previously, but have just spent over an hour reading a drabble and have now registered. I think I'll be wasting more time on CBB than Mumst Net from now on...

Here are three girls names:

  1. Kezia or Keren. Both biblical from the end of the book of Job. Could be shortened to Kezi or Kerry.
  1. Or my nieces name - Keshet (hebrew for rainbow) - shortened to Kesh or Keshy.
