Like lots of others I love Iris - I'd love to have it for a future DD but it doesn't really go with my surname.

Not really all that struck on the others, I'm afraid I really dislike Tabitha.

I really like Iris. with your son's names, I would choose something classic- some of these seem a little too trendy

hugothegreat · 08/12/2009 16:50

Ooh I like Tabitha a lot! I always think Darcey is too much like Tracey

I love Tabitha

JaneiteMightBite · 08/12/2009 22:10

I like Edie a lot but it looks v strange with an 'a' in it.

Unlike many people on here (and for v obvious reasons) I do really like Darcy (my mystical dd3 would be Marianne Darcy).

Bronte feels a bit 'American' to my ears but as a middle name I think it could be quite cute.

Iris I like.

Is your Louis a Lewis or a Louie? If the former I wouldn't choose Iris (a bit tongue twisterish for me), and if the latter I'm not sure about Edie, although I think Edith "fit" as it were. I'm not keen on any of the others - Sorry!

Skegness · 09/12/2009 06:41

Iris

seeker · 09/12/2009 06:51

Edie - but shorr for Edith - which is a wonderful name.

Darcey and Bronte are just silly as first names for girls - they are surnames - you wouldn't call a girl Williams or Jones or Smith would you?

Tabitha's OK but a bit fluffy for an adult woman.

Iris is lovely.

telsa · 09/12/2009 08:46

Tabitha is so sweet - reminds me of the gorgeous, blondy blue-eyed child-witch in Bewitched. Nicknames are cute too: Tabby, Tab, Bitty, Bitha, Tabi, Tibby - and even Dorcas!
Edie - very cool.
Iris would clash a bit with the 'is' at the end of Louis.

Vivia · 09/12/2009 10:14

Iris. The others are rather odd. And Eadie is definitely spelt Edie. I don't mean to be but I can't stand it when parents incorrectly spell their child's name, so please call her Iris.

And congratulations!

AppleyDapply · 09/12/2009 10:20

Tabitha is my favorite. Iris also lovely.

nooka · 09/12/2009 16:55

The OP did correct herself on Eadie/Edie! I think that Tabitha is just too cattish, and it's diminutives even more so. Dorcas is quite cool though, my grandmother had a friend called Dorcas.
