Any suggestions for a middle name for an Anna ? Surname has 2 syllables and begins with B.

Want some that sounds nice but a little interesting too ? Maybe with a meaning. No obvious family names we can use. Nothing too posh please !!

I like Cecilia.

Lilian is also nice and I think it goes well with Anna.

Thanks for suggestions....especially 'Banana', Tizzy, I'd thought that 'Bella' would be quite a funny one too.

Would welcome any more - not sure about Cecilia - any names that are a little bit more off-beat ?

I suppose you could always go the whole hog and have 'Phylaxis'

What about something like Bryony or Lark?

Rainbow? Ocean?

I think Anna Ocean has a lovely sound to it -mystical and pretty.

Ooh, some lovely suggestions ! DD1 has middle name Rose already, or would consider that. Love Coralie. Like Rosalie too. Isn't it hard to choose !
(this is our 4th DD so we've had to go through lots of names !!)

Our beautiful Anna is Anna Grace Frances(now age 12).We were expecting twins and didn't know which sex. 2 girls would have been Anna (the best girl's name ever) and Grace (2nd best). Anna was born 1st followed by her brother, so we got to use both names for her . Frances is my mum's name.Only found out later that Anna actally means "Grace" - never mind she's Grace x 2.

soda1234 · 08/12/2009 23:39

Sorry, meant to add that if I were naming her today would probably have put Florence (a much loved Aunt) in there. I think Anna Florence sounds lovely
