I totally love this name....it means 'sunrise' which is my favourite time of the day....WDYT?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

have only ever seen it used with an h on the end in an Arabic context.

Personally I'd go for Aurora.

JaneiteMightBite · 03/12/2009 22:36

I don't like it sorry. It looks like it's missing a 'b' iykwim. How about Dawn? Or Aurora but it's a bit of a mouthful.

hattee · 04/12/2009 08:26

I prefer Zara

MaggieNollaig · 04/12/2009 08:30

mmmm not keen. It's seems like the name of an enemy alien in a sci-fi film. Genormica was defeated by Zora (of the planet Zoron).

BUT I do like Zyla. I know of a girl who called her little girl (now 16) Zyla. She had known one as a child, so there are a few Zylas out there.

Aurora is hard to say, and too Disney.

boodleboot · 04/12/2009 14:44

Zyla......phone.....

Aurora really is too much of a mouthful isn't it....

still want to like Zora....but my sister just told me that there is an cleaner called this or a disinfectant....kinda ruins it a bit....

Not my cup of tea - sorry

santaschristmascakeywakey · 04/12/2009 14:47

That's Zoflora boodleboot Sounds similar though. Sorry OP, I'm not keen either, beautiful meaning though.

KeithTalent · 04/12/2009 14:55

How about Zohra/Zahra?

mathanxiety · 04/12/2009 16:52

Love it. Nicer than Dawn or Aurora. I always associate Zora Neale Hurston with this name.

Rachiesparrow · 07/12/2009 10:29

I love it. In fact, it's on my list, with an h on the end. Don't like Dawn or Aurora personally.
