DH really likes it, I think I like it?

Reminds me of Kurt Cobain.... don't know if that's a good thing or not?

What do you think?

I don't like it because if you say that someone is being curt essentially it means that you think they are being rude. So I think that's rather negative. I'm also not very keen on very short names, as I like names that you can play with a bit - no shortenings or diminutives with Kurt/Curt. On balance Kurt is better than Curt I guess though.

I like it a lot. Uncommon but not weird.

mumoftoomany · 04/12/2009 11:05

I like it!

Simple and masculine!

Not too keen on it but not horrible sounding either. It's OK.

cumbria81 · 04/12/2009 12:19

No. Bit sound of music.

heartofgold · 04/12/2009 12:23

i like curtis but only because i think of ian curtis, again not exactly a happy ending. lolling at curt, yes that would be fun when he starts learning to write his name

Bubbaluv · 04/12/2009 12:24

Reminds me of my mother saying "Don't get curt with me!"
or a 70s pornstar...not sure why.
Either way I really don't like it - sorry.
To me Kurt would be Russell and Karen's brother.

muminthemiddle · 04/12/2009 23:52

Reminds me of Kurt Kobain, wasn't his full name Curtis or have I imagined that???

Prefer Curt but probably because the word curt is spelt with a C and so is Curtis (which it is often short for.)
I too prefer names with a C rather than a K for some reason.

If DC4 was a boy she would have been Kurt.

I quite enjoyed being reminded of Cobain.

My brother has a work mate in his mid 20s called Kurt so I asked him 'how it is' for him being called Kurt.

He said 'Think it's fine for him - he is just Kurt, it suits him'
