Henry definately. Far more stylish and classic (imo). I really dislike Jack and they really are everywhere.

Henry. There are already far too many Jacks in the world.

RockinSockBunnies · 02/12/2009 11:14

Another vote for Henry here. Much nicer than Jack.

neverjamtoday · 02/12/2009 11:28

Jack is OK but Henry is a cut above. I really really like it - and that's not just because my lovely godson is called Henry. He's 15 and it has suited him all through his life if you see what I mean so I think it is a good name for babies through to adulthood.

dizzycringles · 02/12/2009 12:38

love Jack and know none up here

traceybath · 02/12/2009 12:41

Henry

zozzle · 02/12/2009 13:51

I love Jack - but v. popular. Don't really like Henry but could have Harry as nickname which is fab!

JustKeepSparkling · 03/12/2009 08:58

Like both tbh.

Dad is Jack, DS2 is Henry

(there are lots of Jack children out there at the mo though)

noddyholder · 03/12/2009 09:00

Henry

MamaLazarou · 03/12/2009 09:07

Dizzycringles, do you live in a monastery at the top of a mountain?

Vivia · 03/12/2009 09:14

Nowadays they both seem quite 'meh'. Henry is best. Though it'll get shortened to Harry, which is awful. I like John.

CuppaTeaJanice · 03/12/2009 12:28

Honestly?

Both of these names are ridiculously overused. Your son will be one of several in his class called that name.

There are thousands of lovely boys names around. Can't you find one that's original?

sunshinejanuary · 03/12/2009 12:29

Henry - too many Jacks already

dizzycringles · 03/12/2009 12:55

Mama can't believe you outed me!!!

no, honestly, I loved the name Jack but didn't use it because we had 3 girls and its DH's name but I can only think of one child I know called Jack and I'm trawling through all the friends/relations etc etc I can think of

we gave DD1 a name that everyone on here considers too common/overused and she's the only one of those I know too

maybe we're very behind with the current names all the way up here on the mountain

OP if you love them use them end of story - wait and see which he looks like. DD1 has a name that everyone says is too popular - we don't know another one and DD2 has a name that we thought was a bit different and we now know 3 the same age you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't!!!

MrsJohnDeere · 03/12/2009 13:11

Henry is lovely.

tvfriend · 03/12/2009 13:23

Don't seem to be any Jack's being born here recently but every second boy seems to be Henry- nice name though!
