Any thoughts on this one? It is on my long list of possible names at the moment.

I love it. I don't think many people on here do but I think it's lovely.

cathcat · 29/11/2009 00:18

No, I don't like it, sorry. Too old fashioned and harsh sounding.

said · 29/11/2009 00:24

Sounds ugly

fluffyfudge · 29/11/2009 13:44

Old fashioned and prim.

overweightoptimist · 29/11/2009 14:11

Don't like it, sorry. What about Edith (Edie)? Love Eden, too, but you probably wouldn't if you are going for old-fashioned vibe.

Chynah · 29/11/2009 17:13

Sorry old lady name.

theagedparent · 29/11/2009 17:16

Love it.

I really like it.

DiamondHead · 29/11/2009 20:19

I'm not a fan, nothing to do with being old fashioned - I just don't like the sound.

tummytickler · 30/11/2009 12:53

My son was going to be Enid or Dorothea if he was a girl.
I would still use it, I love it, although i wonder if it might become fashionable again like all the other 'E' names (Elsie, Ella, Esme, Erin)

tanmu82 · 30/11/2009 13:07

absolutely horrid - my grandmother-in-law is called Enid. FIne for an old lady in her seventies

shoobidoo · 30/11/2009 13:16

I like it. All the current Enid's in their 70s were once young too, you know ?

garvbuck · 02/12/2009 10:35

I like it. My DH hates it. But I think old names are cool. We have a friend whose daughter is called Mabel, and it is so cute on her.

mumoftoomany · 02/12/2009 14:06

I like it!

jeee · 02/12/2009 14:07

I like it, but everyone will just make unfunny jokes about the famous five.
