this is my current name crush but do you think it is workable for a RL DD or best left for wishful thinking??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CirrhosisByTheSea · 28/11/2009 21:34

I think it's lovely!

I can imagine a teenage girl being called 'Pan' as a nn which I think is cool

It's stylish and cool, don't leave it for wishful thinking!

2cats2many · 28/11/2009 21:40

It will always been associated with Adrian Mole for me.

AuraofDora · 28/11/2009 21:44

not adrian mole
louise brooks pandora's box
not if you would shorten it..

choosyfloosy · 28/11/2009 21:45

Sorry, it's Adrian Mole for me too but that's probably generational.

Dora or Theodora any good?

GhoulsAreLoud · 28/11/2009 21:47

Adrian Mole.

Divatheshopaholic · 28/11/2009 21:48

I like it, reminds me of the bracelets rather than Adrian Mole. Might get shortened to Dora which is sweet.

A racy name, not nice for a young girl. There's those awful Pandora bracelets and 'box' jokes too.
Oh and Adrian Mole.

Not one for me. Sorry.

FluffysBeenBittenByAVampire · 29/11/2009 00:01

Nooo, don't do it. She'll be called charm for the rest of her life!

BarbieLovesKen · 29/11/2009 00:05

Oh I think its beautiful! very unusual too..

Mahauld · 29/11/2009 00:12

Best left for wishful thinking. There are nicer names out there.
Quite a dark, alternative name. I don't like the story behind this name either.

MrsMattie · 29/11/2009 09:24

Really don't like it. Pretentious.

zigzags · 29/11/2009 12:17

It's the kind of name I imagine a celebrity using. Like Tallulah.

It's a bit fluffy.

hocuspontas · 29/11/2009 12:30

No. I always associate the name with Rhys Ifhans in Notting Hill when he says he went out with a Pandora once but never got to see her box. Then he does a Benny Hill type leer.

AnnieBeansMum · 29/11/2009 12:34

It's a lovely name yes, but why would you want to associate your dd with a mythical girl who released all the evil and sorrow into the world???

AnnieBeansMum · 29/11/2009 12:35

Pandora's Box

boodleboot · 29/11/2009 12:54

Depends on how far you want to take the whole theology thing i guess.....i mean there are hundreds of Eve's or variations of Eve and she was conned by a snake and ate the apple that caused the fall of humanity....doesn't seem to bother anyone

OP posts:
fluffyfudge · 29/11/2009 13:28

This is a darker name than Eve I think and I really wouldn't like the box jokes.

On the cruel side to burden a child with, and pretentious too.

overweightoptimist · 29/11/2009 14:15

agree with fluffyfudge sorry

also Adrian Mole for me

What about Dora?

FluffysBeenBittenByAVampire · 29/11/2009 15:41

Dora the stupid explorer??

capstock · 29/11/2009 20:11

Cora then

BikeRunSki · 29/11/2009 20:14

Adrian Mole for me too.
She was cool, but she was also a bitch.

zozzle · 01/12/2009 14:23

Adrian Mole for me - and sounds a bit posh (but not in a good way) - sorry!
