A woman featured in today's Daily Mail has thirteen children and wants to keep procreating until she has a multiple birth. It is claimed that Sara Foss has named her children:

Patrick ? named after Sara's grandmother's surname of Patrick

Stephen ? after his doting dad, Stephen

Malachai ? after a character in the horror film, Children of the Corn

Peppermint ? after Sara started craving mints during her fourth pregnancy

Echo ? after a group of eco-campaigners who Stephen met during a job at work

Eli ? another character in the 1984 film Children of the Corn

Rogue ? a character in the film X-Men

Frodo ? hobbit in Lord of the Rings

Morpheus ? a character in film, The Matrix, staring Keanu Reeves

Artemis ? book character, Artemis Fowl, an obnoxious teenage criminal

Blackbird ? named after a gathering of blackbirds which flew onto Sara's lawn

Baudelaire ? named after the Baudelaire orphans which featured in Lemony Snicket's film A Series of Unfortunate Events

Voorhees ? named after serial killer, Jason Voorhees in the horror movie, Friday The 13th

What do we think of these?

well....each to their own....i am guessing she is not a MNer tho......

TheFallenMadonna · 23/11/2009 15:19

Patrick and Stephen are lovely...

Do they feel like the odd ones out do you think?

teameric · 23/11/2009 15:23

Wtf would someone want to name their child after a psychopathic maniac in a hockey mask?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 23/11/2009 15:29

I think she has most likely had her mind permantly damaged with pregnancy hormones, hence the names getting worse as she has more.

goingforitagain · 23/11/2009 15:30

looks like she got whackier with each pregnancy!
my god some of those are just cruel, imagine being named after a character in a horror movie???? thats a little bit sick if ya ask me

Tortington · 23/11/2009 15:31

i think she's tapped having 13 kids

that she names them stupid names confirms it.

AvengingGerbil · 23/11/2009 15:48

Ok, I know it's tragic to look them up (Ancestry), but poor Frodo is actually called Frodo Jesus [surname] so he can't even use his second name to avoid the hobbit jokes...

MaggieBelle · 23/11/2009 15:50

I like Patrick. How do you get from Patrick to 'Vorhees' a fictional serial killer!?

She had more sense at 16.,

MaMight · 23/11/2009 15:56

I think poor Blackbird got the worst of it.

Love Malachai and Peppermint. Great names.

Echo, Eli and Artemis are not bad. Wouldn't choose them, but quite like them.

Baudelaire, Voorhees, Morphius, Frodo and Rogue are all a bit unfortunate.

Patrick and Stephen are inoffensive enough. Meh.

But poor Blackbird.

Why would you name a child after a serial killer???

mathanxiety · 23/11/2009 16:05

There is a lot more going wrong here than just the names...

MaggieBelle · 23/11/2009 16:18

She sounds liek she watches a lot of films! (but not good ones). I watched the children of the corn years ago and thought '81minutes of my life'. Imagine naming two children after that crappy film, a couple of years apart aswell, must really have left a big impresion!!

Attention seeking much!

The first three are ok then it all gets ridiculous.

Calling someone Rogue is just cruel.

lanismum · 23/11/2009 17:33

I have an Eli, not named after the character in the film though......or the dingles
Have met an Echo too, dont think she was one of 13.........

MamaLazarou · 23/11/2009 20:21

Too wacky for my taste, HOWEVER... any of these names is better than being one of a million .

minouminou · 24/11/2009 14:03

Wow.
Mind you...Malachi and Artemis are alright.
We have a Frodo round here.
Yeah.....my mind's just gone blank for some reason..............

tummytickler · 24/11/2009 23:58
