Boys names to go with Freddie

Further criteria as follows:

Middle name would ideally be Arthur
Our surname begins with an H which rules out Henry/Harry and ends in "wood" which rules out Edward! Annoyingly so because I really like all of those names. Hey ho.

Also love Peter but initial would spell PAH. Not good.

Getting a bit worried now. All we have is William and Oliver which are uber popular and whilst that isn't necessarily a bad thing, we have already had the experience of there being Freddie's everywhere we go.

We have girls names down to Matilda, Emmeline, Kitty and Clara - just to give you an idea of our general sort of naming vibe - not too conventional but not wildly unusual either.

All suggestions welcome.

I like George but Fred and George are the Weasley twins from Harry Potter.

There is always a hitch. Nephew is Tom. Brother is Joe. I like your train of thought though.

Thew problem is that vast numbers of boys seem to be being born among my friends and family. All the nice names have been taken already.

I have a Freddie Thomas - I'm looking forward to using the full name (with surname) when I'm telling him off (family tradition!)

My DH's initials are PAH and no one has ever picked up on it.

Would you not consider Arthur as a first name? Freddie and Arthur go nicely together.

These are great suggestions - thank you. I am now thinking that Arthur as a 1st name might be quite nice - he could be Arthur Elliot. His older brother is Frederick James.

I really love Freddie and have been trialling it on the bump for the last couple of weeks. Is Freddie really that common?

Personally, I know alot of Max and Rufus' but no Freddies.

when i named my son, i didnt know any young Freddie's but since then iv met 5, although he is the only Freddie at his nursery (out of about 100 children), so i think it is quite popular now.

There are a lot of Freddie's round our way, Kitty. Apparently Freddie Flintoff made it rather fashionable!

I have a Freddie Jon. I wanted a name which wasn't common also. As a paediatric nurse I found it hard to choose a name as I related so many to patients, however I had never met a Freddie. It's a lovely name :) he often gets Fred bear too :)

I’d have Arthur as the first name. I LOVE it and desperately wanted it but my husband can’t actually say it properly (says it like Arfa or ‘alf a’ but dropping the h) and it would piss me of too much - damn estuary accent.

George and Freddie are lovely together - they’re actually the 2 potential choices we’ve got lined up for our little boy.
