Renee as second name?

Further to my post about two syllable girls' names with the stress on the second syllable (thanks to all those who contributed ideas, very imaginative lot you are!):

what do you think of Renee as a second name? second syllable stress obv. For the record, I've got this name from Renee Fleming, the opera singer, not Renee Zellweger (not that anyone would probably make the opera connection apart from me as an operatic soprano, but still)

Thanks

My thoughts are 'Just Walk Away' but then I'm extremely old.

Also Auntie Renee (ree-knee) from Yorkshire. None of yer funny foreign pronunciations lass!

I love Renee, even as a first name.

Although I think it is beautiful pronounced correctly Re-NAY, it is easily mispronounced. I heard Renee Zellweger on television pronounce her own name 'Renny'.

I know two Renee's (ren-NAY's) and I have an Auntie Rene (Re-knee). Both Renee's get called Ren which I think is a lovely abb. Obviously, a middle name wouldn't get shortened but thought I'd mention it!

I like it!

Hooray for Auntie Re-knees! Everyone should have one.

I'm old enough to remember a series with Lenny Henry (Chef?) where he deliberately mispronounces the posh 'Re-nay' as 'Re-knee' every single time. Beware the revenge of Northerners (and Brummies).

My dd5's middle name is Renace wanted it as a first name but hubby wouldn't allow it reminded him of the name Renee i like it but not the short version Ren

great - dont't forget the acute above the second last e! this makes it ren-A rather than ren-E
