Just idly wondered what the jury people thought...

It's not for a baby, it's for me!

I've been allocated a new email address at work which is myname@company. But they use two initials, and I don't have a middle name, so they've allocated me a Z! People are bound to assume that Z stands for Zoe, so I was wondering about 'adopting' Zelda...

It reminds me of a gypsy fortune-teller, don't know why... what d'you think?

The two things that spring to mind are...

  1. The fab Nintendo game with Link
  2. One of the aunts from Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Go for it!!

So there's a witchy link too? I had no idea!

Not as good as Zuleika.

juneybean · 13/11/2009 13:57

It'll only work if she has a sister called Hilda.

juneybean · 13/11/2009 13:58

Or rather if YOU have a sister called Hilda.... lol

RedTartanLass · 13/11/2009 14:07

No No No, it must be Zena...warrior princess!!

AnnaSui · 13/11/2009 14:47

I really love it!

Also love Dulcie, Lois, Greta.

I even like Belinda! Love these kind of quirky names. But some people will say it's a computer game. I don't know teenaged boys though thankfully

AnnaSui · 13/11/2009 14:48

Madame Zelda is not a witch, she's a clairvoyant.

ilovepiccolina · 13/11/2009 14:50

Perhaps that's where I got the gypsy fortune teller thougth from then.

but Zuleika is good...

Zelda was the name of an American character in 'Malory Towers' Enid Blyton school story. She was rather brash, beautiful and 'older than her years'. Go for it!

Chickenshavenolips · 13/11/2009 17:37

Zelda was the name of the woman-in-Stephen-King's-'Pet Semetary'-sister-with-awful-disease-that-made-her-mad.

ilovepiccolina · 13/11/2009 22:57

Oh golly, I've read that book too, had no idea.

Have just remembered Zelda was wife of F Scott Fitzgerald, is that right? Free-spirited, open marriage, that sort of thing? Very me !
